Jeremy Gutsche a gentleman who used quite a lot of Data on a Singapore Airlines flight from Heathrow Airport in London, to Singapore. The gentleman was given a bill for $1171.46 for using the Wi-Fi service during the flight. And no, watching video was not to blame. Jeremy says that the Wi-Fi service was painfully slow, and couldn't support the use of YouTube or Netflix.
Jeremy does admit that he was informed of the cost per MB of going over the 30MB cap and also to falling asleep during the flight, while the meter continued to run on his Wi-Fi usage. Although no warning was sent out to alert him when he approached the 30MB limit. Mr. Gutsche has taken to social media to try to get the Airline to reduce the bill, so far it seems like they won't budge.
